A biscuity-pale ale single-hopped with wet, freshly-harvested Enigma hops.

Flanders Brown

A blend of two sour barrel-aged ales, each barrel with its own character. One, an ancient 100L ex-whiskey barrel now an acetic monster which converts our Stompbox IPA into the most spectacularly sour acetic ale, bursting with all the most wonderfully-acidic qualities of pure citrus zest. The other barrel, a hogshead, filled with our Ella Brown to impart clean lactic acidity.
The blended result is this complex dark sour ale, smacking of cherries, coffee and citrus. HOPS: Ella, Citra, Amarillo MALT: Malted barley, Dark, Medium and Light Crystal, wheat and roast barley. ADJUNCTS: A touch of oak. |
